Rūta Kairytė, Tribe Payments Commercial Director for Northern Europe, tells EPI why Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia continue to punch above their weight

With more than 15 years in fintech, Ruta Kairyte has helped shape Tribe Payments, the payments fintech specialising in issuer and acquirer processing, from its earliest days. Now commercial director for Northern Europe, she's leading the company's growth across the Baltics and Nordics.

Headquartered in London, Tribe's largest office is in Kaunas, Lithuania, a country that has become a key fintech hub. For years, businesses have struggled with outdated payment systems that weren't built for today's digital world. Transactions were slow, expensive, and inefficient.
