• One formula for every company. The EBRS v7.0.0 score is calculated by the same 13 signals with the same published weights for every company; weights are never set individually.
• Payment is not an input. Paid packages, the TOP badge, activation of a profile, user ratings, media mentions and TOP history have no effect on the score. Since v7.0.0 the score uses state register data only.
• Public method, public code. Every formula is published in the technical annex, and the reference implementation is open source under the MIT licence (source code), so anyone can recompute a score.
• We do not originate register data. The facts come from state registers and are shown with the date they describe. We do not edit them: a figure changes when the register changes it, or through a correction recorded against an official document, which the profile marks as such (corrections process).
• History is not rewritten. Scores are archived before every recalculation for a new version and weekly in an append-only archive.
• Limits. The registry is not a credit bureau and the score is not an official credit rating. EBRS is in public review: it has not yet been audited by an independent third party.
