Lietuvos TOP Įmonių Registras

Lietuvos TOP Įmonių Registras (the Lithuanian TOP Companies Registry) is a public registry of Lithuanian companies. It brings together official data from 14 Lithuanian state registers and 2 further public sources, and assesses every company under one published methodology, the EBRS reputation score. Viewing the registry is free and requires no registration. A company cannot change its assessment by paying.

Two figures answer two questions. 29,265 is every company in the registry, each with a public EBRS card; it is the population over which percentiles are calculated. Of these, 28,149 are shown as assessed companies. This is a registry figure, not a count of operating businesses: it can include companies in liquidation or bankruptcy and deregistered companies, and each company profile states the legal status. Both figures were counted on the production database on 3 November 2026.

Contents

What the registry holds

For each company the registry publishes, where the source holds it:

  • registration details, legal status, legal form, managers and governing bodies;
  • annual financial statements: revenue, profit and balance-sheet items;
  • social-insurance data: insured headcount, average salary and social-insurance debts;
  • tax arrears and taxes paid;
  • declared ownership;
  • public procurement participation and contracts;
  • bankruptcy and restructuring proceedings, and court cases;
  • trademarks, industrial designs, vehicles and transport licences;
  • the EBRS reputation score with its four axes and thirteen signals.

The registry also publishes the annual TOP companies list. Seasons run from 2017 to 2026. Neither the EBRS score nor a place on the list can be bought, and the EBRS score does not depend on TOP membership.

Every company has an English profile, and the full company registry can be searched, filtered and sorted in English. Editorial articles and sector reviews are published in Lithuanian only.

Provenance

Where the data comes from

The registry collects data from 14 state registers and 2 further public sources: GLEIF, the global Legal Entity Identifier foundation, and Google search results, which are used to collect public mentions of a company. Mentions are shown separately and do not affect the EBRS score. In total 36 data streams are monitored, because one institution can publish several datasets. 6 state sources are read through the Lithuanian open data portal data.gov.lt; others, including SODRA and the Centre of Registers financial statements, are taken directly from the institutions.

Freshness

How often it refreshes

The registry is updated every day, but each data stream follows the schedule of the institution that publishes it: daily, weekly or monthly. Lists such as tax arrears, social-insurance debts and non-filers change daily; annual financial statements change once a year by their nature. The EBRS score of every company is recalculated daily, and a snapshot of all scores is archived weekly.

When each source last updated successfully is shown on the public data status page (in Lithuanian). Company profiles show the date of the data they display.

Principles

The honesty rules

  • Dated and sourced. Every figure the registry publishes can be traced to a named source and a date.
  • “Insufficient data” instead of guessing. When data is missing, the registry says so (in Lithuanian, “Nepakanka duomenų”). It does not estimate, interpolate or substitute a zero.
  • No verdict on thin evidence. When fewer than five of the thirteen EBRS signals can be calculated for a company, no score band is shown.
  • The score is not for sale. No payment, package, review, media mention or TOP listing changes a company's EBRS score.
  • Open method. The methodology is published and the reference implementation is open source under the MIT licence on GitHub.
  • History is not rewritten. Archived scores are kept in an append-only archive, so what the registry said about a company on a given date can always be checked.

Corrections

The registry publishes what the source registers publish. To report an error in a company's data, write to the operator at the address at the foot of this page.
